High Tea booking Classification

A High Tea booking refers to any reservation made at Mary Eats Cake where full prepayment is required at the time of booking to reserve your selected package option, this includes, but its not limited to any bookings for our Mary Package, Fancy Package, Bottomless Brunch, Children's High Tea and seasonal High Tea packages. 

Payments & Refunds

Pre-payment

Full pre-paymentis required to secure your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received. This pre-payment is required due to the nature of our High Tea Packages, which require preparation of your package inclusions prior to your arrival. 

Refunds

 No refunds are available once pre-payment has been made unless required by law

Cancellations & Booking Changes

• If you choose to cancel the booking with at least  72 hours notice. You will receive a credit voucher to the value that was pre-paid at the time of booking. 
• All cancellations are not eligible for a refund. 

Change of Date

• If you need to change the date of your booking and notify Mary Eats Cake at least  72 hours before your booking your pre-payment can be transferred to the new date.
• Any changes to your booking date may result in a balance owing if the new booking date cost is greater than the pre-paid amount. 

Reduction in Guest Numbers

• No refunds are available for a reduction in the number of guests after the final balance has been paid. 
• If the number of guests decreases up to 72 hours before your function, a credit voucher may be issued for the value of the High Tea for any guests no longer attending.
• If the changes are within 72 hours of your booking, you will be given  the following options:
• Food served at your function
  
• Boxed High Tea to take away
  
  

No show & late cancellation 

At Mary Eats Cake, all food is prepared fresh, and staffing is scheduled based on confirmed bookings.

For this reason, a no-show/ late cancellation fee of $20 per person will apply where less than 2 hours’ notice is provided. This fee will be charged at the time of rebooking. 

This includes:

• Failure to arrive for a booking, or
• Cancellations or reductions in guest numbers made within 2 hours of the booking time
  

We appreciate your understanding, as this policy helps us reduce food waste and manage staffing and preparation fairly.

Increase in Guest Numbers

• Guest numbers can be increased up to 72 hours before your event, subject to availability.
• Additional guests must be paid in full to confirm their place.
  
  

Marketing & Promotional Content

• Mary Eats Cake may capture photos or videos within our venues for use in marketing materials, including social media, website content, and print.
• By attending our venue, you acknowledge and consent to this content being captured and used.
• If you or your guests prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please:
  
• Advise our team on the day, or
  
• Contact us in writing prior to your booking.
  
  

Changes to Terms & Conditions

• Mary Eats Cake reserves the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to existing bookings where applicable.

Allergy Advice

All our products may contain traces of seafood, wheat/gluten, egg, dairy, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, seeds, garlic and onion. Our products are made in a kitchen where allergens are used, and as such, we cannot guarantee that our products are completely free of all traces. Caution should especially be taken for people who are highly sensitive or have severe allergies. Whilst every effort is made to ensure there is no cross contamination, we cannot guarantee any items made by a third party vendor are allergen-free and we cannot guarantee any items from the fryer are free from allergens or by products.
